Partners in Ministry
Partnership - The Association is a ministry of partnering churches building the body of Christ in the state. Our congregations are intentionally linked and work together according to the biblical principles and doctrinal perspectives of the Church of God in ways that are:
Health - seek to develop spiritually and functionally strong local congregations.
Integrity - strive for excellence and integrity in all we do.
Servant leadership - operate in a climate of servanthood that includes respect for individuals, cooperative relationships, trust building, and reconciliation.
Key areas of focus:
Strengthen churches
-Partner in ministry to strengthen and enlarge the work of the Church of God in Arizona.
-Coordinate our ministries effectively and be a catalyst for new ministries.
Strengthen pastors
-Equip and empower pastors and spiritual leaders in Arizona to become and remain healthy, balanced, and whole.
Strengthen kingdom work
-Provide resources that promote healthy churches that will multiply their ministry.

Vision and Goals for 2011-2015
Purpose: To reach current and future residents
of Arizona with the gospel of Jesus Christ through a network of Church of God
congregations.
· Congregations may be either an already existing
church, a relocation, a satellite congregation, or a new church plant.
· This project is focused on where new church plants
should be launched.
Five Year Strategy
Church Planting - starting
new churches

Target locations
for new churches – areas of new growth or potential growth demographics.

Identify potential
church planters – identify planters or planting teams to develop and lead
proposed plants.
·
Resources for
planting will come from the state Church Plant Fund, partnering congregations,
and other potential donors.
Church Health - helping
plateaued or declining churches:
· Provide equipping event(s) for pastors and church
leaders that address how established churches can address issues that enable
growth to the next level.
Leadership Development
· Provide skill development coaching for pastors that
increase leadership effectiveness.
CARE (covenant to assist,
resource, and encourage) for ONE strategy:
· Church planting - one new church plant planned and
started.
· Church health – one church committed to a renewed
vision and mission through one equipping event for state ministers and church
leadership.
· Leadership development – provide a coaching network
for state ministers that focuses on skill development for leadership
effectiveness.
Partnership with Congregations
Our ministry is based on
voluntary association by our congregations that affiliate with the Church of
God. The connection is based on
CARE (covenant to assist, resource, and encourage).
· Pray for pastors, congregations, and state leadership
· Participate in service, fellowship, and ministry opportunities
· Attend and send representatives to the Association
meeting to be informed in the direction of the state ministry
